Coverage
Anywhere inside Salt Lake County, there is no travel charge. Mobilization is already built into the quote and the drive is short enough that it does not move the number.
Outside the county, it depends on the size of the job more than the distance. A full house teardown in Provo or Ogden prices the same as one in Sandy, because a multi-day job absorbs the drive easily. A single small concrete pad ninety minutes away does not, so for small jobs at distance we will tell you honestly that a local contractor will beat us on price.
We would rather say that up front than pad a quote to cover windshield time.

This is the part homeowners underestimate. Demolition permitting is handled at the city level, so the fee, the application, the required inspections, and even whether a permit is needed at all change depending on which side of a street you are on.
Salt Lake City, West Valley City, and unincorporated Salt Lake County each run their own process. We deal with all of them regularly, and confirming which set applies to your address is the first thing we do after the walkthrough.
