Who we are
Utah Demolition Pros is a licensed and insured demolition contractor serving Salt Lake City and the surrounding valley. Demolition is all we do. We are not a general contractor who owns an excavator, and we are not a hauling company that took a demolition job once. That focus is the reason we can quote a teardown accurately from a walkthrough and tell you on day one what the permitting will actually take.
Most of our work is residential: houses and garages coming down for a rebuild, pools being filled in, concrete flatwork replaced, interiors stripped for a remodel, and the sheds, decks, and fences that pile up over the years. We also take light commercial work, mostly tenant improvement strip-outs and small structure removal for property managers and general contractors.
Because we only do demolition, we have no stake in what goes back in. If you ask who should pour your new driveway, we will point you at a flatwork crew we have worked with and leave it there.
Not sure which category your project falls into? Send photos and we will tell you.
How we work
Demolition has a reputation for vague pricing and vanishing crews. These are the four commitments we make on every job, residential or commercial.
01
Written quotes within 24 hours
Send photos and rough dimensions, or have us walk the property, and you get a written quote inside a day. It is a line-item scope, not a number scribbled on a card, and the price does not change unless the scope does.
02
Permits handled start to finish
Asbestos inspection, the state notification period, utility disconnect letters, and the demolition permit itself. We file all of it and track it. You do not sit in a line at the city office or chase Dominion Energy for a letter.
03
Clean, graded sites
Debris sorted and hauled, recyclables diverted rather than landfilled, holes backfilled and compacted, and the lot graded flat. A finished job should look ready for whatever is next, not like something exploded on it.
04
Straight answers on price
If asbestos is likely, we say so and quote a line for it instead of pretending it will not turn up. If your job would be cheaper done a different way, or in one visit instead of three, we will tell you that too.
Capabilities
We run tracked excavators and skid steers for teardowns and pool work, compact machines for backyards where a full-size excavator will not fit through the gate, and concrete saws and hydraulic breakers for flatwork and foundations. Dump trucks and roll-offs move debris, and plate compactors and jumping jacks handle backfill so a filled pool or foundation hole is actually compacted rather than just covered over.
Where a job needs a specialist we bring one in rather than improvising. Licensed abatement contractors handle confirmed asbestos, licensed plumbers cap sewer lines for inspection, and a structural engineer stamps the detail when an interior wall is carrying load. Compaction testing on backfilled pools and foundations is done by a third-party firm, because a report you can hand a future buyer is worth more than our word for it.
On tight sites, the smaller machine is usually the right answer. Getting a compact excavator through a 36-inch gate saves the fence, the sprinklers, and a day of hand work.
We also write up what we learn on these jobs. The demolition guides cover real Salt Lake County cost ranges and the permit sequence in the order it actually happens.
These are quoted as separate line items so you can see exactly what each one costs.
Service areas
We take demolition work throughout Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front, for homeowners, builders, remodelers, and property managers. If your city is not on the list, call us anyway. We travel for the right project.
